Udine, Italy (SportsNetwork.
Saints Jerseys 2020 .com) - Genoa collected its third straight win in
Serie A on Sunday as second-half goals from Alessandro Matri and Juraj Kucka
propelled the team to a 4-2 win at Udinese.
After the two sides shared four goals in the first half, Matri broke the
deadlock in the 54th for Genoa, while Kucka came off the bench to score three
minutes from time to put the result away, handing Udinese a third loss in four
games.
The home side couldnt have asked for a better start as Antonio Di Natale put
Udinese in front in the opening minute when he drove a shot past goalkeeper
Mattia Perin from the middle of the box after being picked out by Panagiotis
Kone.
Giovanni Marchese equalized for Genoa in the 22nd with a fantastic strike from
25 yards that found the bottom corner of the net and left Udinese goalkeeper
Orestis Karnezis with little chance.
Karnezis was picking the ball out of his net again three minutes later when he
failed to keep hold of a close-range shot from Edenilson, which allowed Iago
Falque to score on the rebound.
Udinese answered shortly before halftime when Di Natale played a ball to
Silvan Widmer on the right side of the box that he lashed inside the far post
to restore parity.
But Genoa added two more goals after the break to snatch all three points as
Matri once again put his team in front in the 54th with a first-time finish
after a pass from Falque, while Kucka scored from outside the area with a
well-struck shot three minutes from time.
Sampdoria moved to within three points of second-place Roma on Sunday by
