SALT LAKE CITY -- Kyle Korver and Paul Millsap made themselves right at home in their return to Utah. Walt Hazzard Jersey . Just when Atlanta seemed almost incapable of winning a road game, Korver and Millsap broke the hearts of the fans that cheered them for years to finally help the Hawks break through. Korver scored 26 points and Millsap added 23 against their former team as the Hawks outlasted the Utah Jazz 112-110 on Monday night to snap a six-game losing streak. Millsap said there were times were he almost felt like he wasnt playing on the road "I played in this gym for seven years. I felt real comfortable," he said after helping the Hawks end a 10-game road losing streak. Most of the Atlanta starting lineup spent significant time playing for the Jazz. DeMarre Carroll (2011-13), Korver (2007-10) and Millsap (2006-13) all received warm applause when they were introduced before the game. "It was like a reunion, a family reunion. I saw a lot of familiar faces," Millsap said. But familiarity didnt make it a cakewalk. Korver made all four of his 3-point attempts in his old stomping grounds but never felt totally safe. The Hawks blew a 17-point lead and it was like re-run Korver had seen dozens of times. "I was a part of so many games when the Jazz were down at halftime, just like tonight, and then came roaring back. The crowd gets behind them," Korver said. Jeff Teague had 14 points and the Hawks used a late 16-4 run to salvage a win at the end of a gloomy six-game road trip. The Jazz led 96-93 after Trey Burkes 3-pointer, but Korver started an 8-0 run with a 3-pointer and then a contested jumper to beat the shot clock. Trey Burke made a layup before Millsap countered with two free throws and Korver added two of his own to seemingly put the game out of reach. Trailing 109-100 with 26 seconds left, the Jazz made it interesting with 10 points in the last 16 seconds. "In the second half, we made a significant change but it was a little too late and they made some big shots down the stretch," said Burke, who scored 21 of his 23 points in the second half. Marvin Williams had 18 for the Jazz, who have lost six of their last seven. Carroll had 11 points as the trio of former Jazz-players-turned-Hawks combined for 15 of the Hawks 16 points in the game-clinching run. The Hawks led by 17 points in the first half before the Jazz rallied in the third quarter. Utah outscored Atlanta 36-19 in the period and capped an 18-7 run with Haywards rebound dunk just before the buzzer for an 80-78 edge. "We didnt respond to their pressure and it turned into a heck of a game," Atlanta coach Mike Budenholzer said. Millsap missed five games with a badly bruised knee and then struggled a bit in his first two games back in limited minutes. He regained his All-Star form against his former team, which decided to go with a youth movement and let him sign with the Hawks in the off-season. Millsap was 7 of 14 from the field and had eight rebounds to help the Hawks, who had a tough time matching up with the Jazz inside. Utah outrebounded Atlanta 45-34. The Hawks, desperately trying to hang on to the eighth and final Eastern Conference playoff spot, finally started to see things click in Los Angeles on Saturday before losing 109-108 to the Clippers. "We felt like we needed this big-time. We felt like we fought hard in the previous game and just came up short. I hope this will a good momentum boost going forward. Teague, who missed a key free throw against the Clippers, missed two down the stretch again but made four to help Atlanta avoid its 15th loss in the last 16 games. The Hawks are 3 1/2 games in front of the Knicks in the race for the playoffs. The Jazz just finished their own nightmare of an extended road trip, losing five of their six games before outlasting Philadelphia 104-92 in the finale. The Hawks allowed an average of 113 points on better than 50-per cent shooting, including 44 per cent from 3-point range. But the Hawks made 13 of 29 from beyond the arc to get the win, which is their fourth straight at Utah after dropping their previous 15. "The Jazz have so much tradition and its like one big family here. Once youre part of the Jazz, you never leave all the way," Korver said. NOTES: Former Jazz Hall of Famer Karl Malone sat courtside and used a giant slingshot to hurl balls into the crowd during a timeout. ... Utahs 36 third-period points tied for the most against the Hawks this season. ... The 10 consecutive road losses were Atlantas worst away drought since losing the final 13 in 2006-07. . The Hawks set a new franchise record with 28 games with 10 or more 3-pointers. John Collins Jersey . Jeff Carter had two goals and an assist as the Kings stretched their streak to seven wins in a row with a 4-2 victory over the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday. Frank Brian Jersey .The McLaren MP4-30 was launched on Thursday, with chief executive Ron Dennis saying it marks the start of a lengthy journey back to winning grands prix and eventually world championships.McLaren, which hasnt won a grand prix since 2012, will be using Honda engines for the first time since 1992, and has signed two-time world champion Fernando Alonso to partner Jenson Button for the upcoming season.DETROIT -- Jose Abreu homered, drove in four runs -- and accomplished something nobody on the Chicago White Sox had managed in 94 years. Abreus three-hit night extended his hitting streak to 18 games, and the White Sox routed the Detroit Tigers 11-4 on Tuesday. Abreu has hit safely in 36 of his last 37 games, and this is his second 18-game streak of the year. The only other player with two 18-game hitting streaks in a season for the White Sox was Hall of Famer Eddie Collins, who had runs of 21 and 22 games in 1920. Collins was already a seasoned veteran by that point. Abreu is in his first year in the majors. "He comes every day prepared and ready to work," manager Robin Ventura said of his 27-year-old Cuban slugger. "Its a very mature approach, and I know Ive said that before, but its true. He comes here and he gets it right away." Abreu and Adam Dunn hit consecutive home runs in the seventh, when the White Sox scored seven runs. Chicago sent 12 batters to the plate in the inning and broke the game open against Anibal Sanchez (7-5) and Joakim Soria. Alexei Ramirez added a three-run double during the rally. Jose Quintana (6-7) allowed two runs and nine hits in six innings. Detroit made three errors, including two in that seventh inning. Soria made his first home appearance since the Tigers acquired him in a trade with Texas. He retired only one of the seven batters he faced and allowed his first two homers of the season. "That was probably the worst outing of my career," Soria said. "You want to make a good impression on the fans and your new team, and then that happens. No matter what pitch I threw, they were right on it. I felt fine, but I missed some over the middle, and they hit all of them." With men on first and second and one out in the seventh, Tyler Flowers singled to left, and left fielder Rajai Davis error allowed a run to score from second. That gave Chicago a 3-2 lead. Soria replaced Sanchez, and after Adam Eatons single loaded the bases, Ramirez doubled too make it 6-2. Bill Bridges Jersey. Abreu followed with a two-run homer, his major league-leading 31st of the year. Dunns solo shot made it 9-2. Sanchez allowed five runs -- four earned -- and six hits in 6 1-3 innings. He struck out six and walked two. QUINTANA SHARP The Chicago left-hander has a 1.84 ERA in his last eight starts, although he hasnt always gotten much run support. That changed in a big way Tuesday. "I tried to throw all my pitches, start ahead in the count early," Quintana said. "Sometimes I fight with my delivery, especially early in the count." SLUMPING AGAIN The Tigers still lead the AL Central by five games over Kansas City, but theyve lost four in a row. This is their fourth losing streak of at least four games this season. The White Sox are now seven games out of first. TRAINERS ROOM White Sox: Reliever Matt Lindstrom (left ankle) threw batting practice to outfielder Avisail Garcia (left shoulder) before the game. Garcia has not played since early April, and Lindstrom has been out since mid-May. Ventura says the team will know more about their status when the White Sox return to Chicago for a six-game homestand that starts Friday. Tigers: Shortstop Eugenio Suarez left the game in the fourth inning with lower back tightness, and third baseman Nick Castellanos was scratched shortly before the game with an injured right index finger. Castellanos was hit with a groundball during batting practice. He and Suarez are both day to day. "Nick could have hit, and he could have played if we needed him, but we decided to play it safe," Tigers manager Brad Ausmus said. "Hell probably be OK tomorrow. With Suarie, well just see how he feels tomorrow afternoon." ON DECK White Sox: Right-hander Hector Noesi (5-7) starts against the Tigers on Wednesday night and will try for his third straight win. He allowed four runs in a victory over Detroit on June 9. Tigers: Reigning AL Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (12-3) takes the mound. Hes unbeaten in his last six starts. ' ' '
